Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hartford, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work for which bids are being requested consists of the resurfacing of the South Municipal Parking Lot, including cold milling, minor storm sewer improvements, hand patching, HMA surfacing, signage and pavement markings. The Contract Documents are on file for examination at the Hartford City Hall, 19 West Main Street, Hartford, MI 49057; at the office of the Engineer, Wightman, 1670 Lincoln Road, Allegan, Michigan, 49010; at the office of Builders Exchange of Kalamazoo, 3431 East Kilgore Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49001-5513; and at the office of Builders Exchange of Lansing, 1240 E. Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48906. Contract Documents may also be obtained at the office of the issuing engineer, Wightman, 1670 Lincoln Road, Allegan, MI 49010, at a non-refundable cost of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) each. An additional ten dollars ($10.00) will be charged for plans requiring shipping. Neither the OWNER nor the ENGINEER will be responsible for partial sets of documents obtained from any other source. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the OWNER or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents. The City of Hartford reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities in bidding. This project is being funded in part through a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture. The CONTRACTOR must comply with all requirements of this Agency.
