Please direct any questions and all correspondence regarding this RFB to: City of Alabaster (City Hall) Attn: Mark Frey 1953 Municipal Way Alabaster, AL, 35007 Email: mfrey@cityofalabaster.com Please direct any questions specific to bid specs set out in appendix A directly to: Alabaster Parks and Recreation Attn: Tim Hamm 200 Depot Street Alabaster AL 35007 Email: thamm@cityofalabaster.com Remove top lip of bowl Punch 2" holes in bottom of bowl in a 6' minimum grid pattern to avoid holding water (more or larger holes are acceptable) Add 12" of 57 stone in bottom of bowl for drainage Fill bowl with compactable backfill material to 95-98% proctor up to within 28" of top, compacting appropriately Fill next 12" with 57 stone compacted every 6" Fill last 12" with 8910 or other City of Alabaster approved stone compacted every 6" to avoid sinking Dowel 1/2 " rebar into existing concrete surrounding the bowl to tie into new concrete Install 1/2 " rebar 12" OC each way or #6 WWF in concrete for support Pour final 4" with 3000PSI concrete Cut or install expansion joints 8' OC min spacing each way, attempting to match existing expansion lines Install 2 Humps/waves approximately 6" tall on top Protect existing concrete deck from damage/cracking Remove all fencing, fill post holes, and level ground to match park grounds. Stabilize soil with hay and grass seed or other approved method to avoid erosion. Provide proper erosion control and safety fencing around entire site during construction. (Leaving existing fencing and close opening will be acceptable for safety fencing) Complete work no later than April 30th, 2023
