Charlotte Water is seeking proposals for Sanitary Sewer Easement Clearing Services. The sanitary sewer system is comprised of approximately four thousand (4,000) miles of sanitary sewer mains. To protect public health and the environment, Charlotte Water regularly clears easements of re-growth to prevent root penetration into sanitary sewer lines and to provide access for repair and maintenance activities. Services may consist of mowing vegetation down to a height of five inches or less; clearing, removing, and disposing of vegetation; grinding of stumps; removal of trees; and the removal of other objectionable matter from within the limits of the sanitary sewer easements.
