Site work for a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
This project is part of the 4th Parallel Runway Program and involves early grading and stockpiling activities. The scope of work primarily involves excavation, hauling, and placement of approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards of material from the future runway footprint into three designated stockpiles on Airport property. Specific construction activities include grading, drainage, fencing, erosion & sediment control, tree clearing, temporary traffic control, sanitary sewer installation, double/triple box culvert extension, and ductbank installation. The City, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this Invitation to Bid, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and no businesses will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), creed, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), age or disability in consideration for an award.
