General Nature of Public Improvement Proposed Recreational Trail Improvements - Pollmiller Trail - Lee County Conservation - Montrose, Iowa - 2023 The project provides for the construction of a Portland cement concrete (PCC) recreational trail from South Park to Pollmiller Park. Time for Commencement and Completion of Work. The work under the proposed Contract shall commence upon issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. The proposed recreational trail improvements listed shall be fully completed on or before June 2, 2023. The Bidder agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $600 for each consecutive calendar day after the specified completion date that the project is not fully completed. Bid Security. Each Bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Code of Iowa. Bid security shall be 5% of the bid amount Preference for Iowa Products and Labor. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes.
