Question Acceptance Deadline 01/24/2023 05:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online No The work performed under this contract includes asphalt mat planing, application of tack coat, and hot mix bituminous pavement overlay to existing asphalt-paved streets throughout the City of Aurora at depths determined by the City. Replacement of four-inch wide Epoxy Pavement Markings, Preformed Thermoplastic Crosswalk Bars, Reversable Turn-Arrows (FHWA Type IV), and Stop Bars are also required (See Section 16 for details). The work also includes the installation of built-up asphalt speed cushions at various locations throughout the City of Aurora, per the Asphalt Speed Cushions Standard Detail provided. Speed cushions shall be constructed utilizing the same asphalt mix as specified for Collector and Local roadways. All signage and pavement marking installations related to speed cushions will be performed by the contractor. All work within this contract is to be completed per these Special Provisions and the current City of Aurora Roadway Design and Construction Manual. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The estimated cost for this this project ranges from $35,000,000.00 to $37,000,000.00. The Contract Documents require that all work be completed by December 31, 2023, after issuance of notice to proceed. Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a Breach of Contract and subject to Liquidated Damages which are $1,000.00 per day.
