Repair of Various Roads Within the Township Work shall include the furnishing of all labor, equipment, tools, and materials required for the demolition and disposal of existing pavement/subbase, subbase compaction, construction of bituminous concrete base and wearing courses as required, all conforming to lines, grades, width and depth, indicated in the contract documents and in accordance with PennDOT Pub 408, latest edition. Pavement millings may be disposed of at the Twp. millings stockpile Jefferson Township, Lackawanna County, PA is soliciting bids for the repair of various roads within the Township. A Prevailing Wage determination has been requested from the PA Department of Labor and Industry and Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. Bids may be held by Jefferson Township for a period not to exceed five (5) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. Jefferson Township will award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, reserving the right to waive any informality and accept or reject any and all Bids. A bid bond for 10% of the base bid amount shall be provided with the bid. A performance & payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount shall be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days of the award.
