Demolition, site work and new construction of a stadium in Montreal-Ouest, Quebec. Completed plans call for site work for a stadium; for the construction of a 85,000-square-foot, two-story above grade stadium; and for the demolition of a stadium.
The project involves the reconstruction of the Borough sports and recreation centre. The scope of the project includes demolition of the existing infrastructure located on the site and construction of a sports complex including an arena, training and activity rooms, a 25-meter outdoor pool with separate plunge pool, children's paddling pool and North chalet. The new building will also house a snack bar, gym, pro-shop/store, meeting rooms, locker rooms and more comfortable washrooms and will be equipped with modern mechanical and electrical systems for heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and ice surface refrigeration coupled with building insulation, air and vapor barriers meeting current standards that will result in energy savings and greater comfort for users. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a general contractor following public tender MO-01-23-01, reference number 1668477.
