For:Contract #22-10089 - Bristol Borough 2023 Road Paving Project This contract consists of a base bid and alternate bid. Both the base and alternate bids involve the milling, base repair, leveling course, manhole rim adjustments, wearing course, curb replacement and pavement markings along various roads/alleys within Bristol Borough. The roadway and quantities associated with the base and alternate bids are more fully defined in Exhibits A, B, and C of Section 01 22 00 Measurement and Payment. All material, labor, and equipment necessary shall be in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 and Borough Standards. nominal fee of 0.33% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Bristol Borough along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Bristol Borough and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Bristol Borough. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended, and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. This project is subject to applicable requirements of the Borough's Responsible Contractor Ordinance for work valued at over Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00). This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 127, Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification, as amended. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The Borough of Bristol reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept the bid, which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Borough. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 1/30/2023 4:00 PM Completion Date: The Work will be substantially completed within 60 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within 90 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
