Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at that time.. Anticipated Start of Construction: Woodview - June 5, 2023 Jamie McGee - July 3, 2023 Anticipated Substantial Completion date: Woodview - June 30, 2023 Jamie McGee - July 28, 2023 Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Education, Valley View Community Unit School District 365U. Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Purchasing Coordinator, Jeanne Herchenback, Valley View School District 365U, 801 Normantown Road, Romeoville, Illinois, 60446, PH: (815) 886-2700. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the District.
