The City of Washington (hereafter referred to as "City") is soliciting a Request for Qualifications from qualified firm(s) to provide engineering consulting and design services. The RFQ's will be maintained on file to be used on an as-needed basis. This Request for Qualifications is intended to provide the City a flexible and effective way to respond to a range of engineering needs. Each future project is separate and shall be negotiated. Firms will be asked to provide a fee schedule based on current hourly wages as a basis for future work on projects. The scope of work will include but not limited to general engineering services, survey, structural, sewer, environmental and miscellaneous services. The firm(s) must comply with all applicable ordinances, state, federal, and local laws. The initial contract duration shall be for one-year, with the option of extending the agreement annually for a period of up to three (3) years. Anticipated annual contract amounts for on-call services will be dependent upon specific needs for supplemental engineering services and available funding. No work is guaranteed under any contract with work assigned on an as-needed basis to be determined by the City in its sole and absolute discretion. For larger scale municipal projects, the City may continue to procure professional engineering services using a separate qualification-based selection process.
