For Seawolf RV Park The Park Board of Trustees of the City of Galveston is seeking Letters of Interest from qualified contractors/developers to build and operate a RV Park at Seawolf Park. One of many unique aspects of this project is the opportunity to build and operate a RV park located next to a WWII display that includes a submarine and destroyer escort. Surrounded almost entirely by water; Seawolf Park provides a unique location for a RV Park. Private entities who may be interested in participating in this project are encouraged to respond to this once in a lifetime opportunity. Respondents should be as creative as possible, but any proposal shall include the following Amenities. General Description of Minimal Amenities: Limited Hook-ups to include water and electrical Full Hook-up to include wastewater is also allowed if submitter builds a wastewater treatment facility. There is currently not a wastewater treatment facility. Shower/Laundry Facility - if submitter builds an on-site wastewater facility 30 and 50 Amp Electrical Service Availability of Pull-Thru Sites On-Site Management of guest services and facility maintenance Outdoor Lighting Wi-Fi for all RV guest to connect to Concrete Pads for the RV's and tow/guest vehicle Paved roadways within the RV Park Office/check in gate Enhanced Landscaping to Provide as Scenic Appearance as Possible Meet local, state and federal requirements related to Flood Plan The Galveston Park Board of Trustees encourages the participation of local and minority entrepreneurs. Responses should not be overly long or exceed thirty (30) pages in length, not including appendices or attachments. Items such as resumes DO NOT count against the page limit. All proposal documents must be prepared in single-space type, on standard 8-1/2" x 11" vertically oriented pages, numbered at the bottom, with the exception of plans or drawings, those may be submitted landscape on 8-1/2" x 11" pages. All questions shall be in writing, submitted to: vlorefice@galvestonparkboard.org. Questions are due on or before February 14, 2023 @ 3:00 pm CST. Responses will be answered after the question deadline in the form of an Addendum. No responses will be given to questions submitted after the deadline. Questions submitted outside of Vince Lorefice, General Manager of Parks will not be answered and any communication with another Department prior to award by Park Board of Trustees will disqualify the bid. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
