Renovation of a detention facility in Galveston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Purpose: Galveston County is seeking a firm to provide detailed requirements suitable for inclusion in a bid process, indicating the required func-tions of a retrofitted jail access control and security system specific to Galveston Coun-ty. Firm should be able to provide a profes-sional engineering design, including drawings and/or diagrams, on which a future bid can be made. Crowder, CPPO CPPB, Galveston County Purchasing Agent at the Galveston County Courthouse, 722 Moody, (21st Street), Floor 5, Purchasing, Galveston, Texas 77550, (409) 770-5372. All submittals must be marked on the outside of the sealed envelope: Jail Access Control System Replacement Qualifier's name, return address, should be prominently displayed on the proposal pack-age for identification purposes. The timestamp clock located in the Pur-chasing Agent's office shall serve as the of-ficial time-keeping piece for this solicita-tion process. Any qualification statements received after 2:00 P.M. CST on the speci-fied date will be returned unopened. Service providers planning to attend should contact the Purchasing Agent's office at (409) 770-5373, or by email at purchasing.bids@ co.galveston.tx.us. Please submit full Name, Social Security numbers, and Date of Birth for all attendees so that security clearance to the jail can be provided for the planned site visit. Service providers are requested to submit all questions in writing to Rufus G. Crowder, CPPO CPPB, County Purchasing Agent prior to the pre-qualification conference to facilitate prompt responses. The Galveston County Commissioners' Court reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all submittals and to accept the submittal which, in its opinion, is most advantageous to Galveston County with total respect the governing laws.
