This project is to include all costs associated with the replacement of timber piling within the Pier 19 area. This work includes, but is not limited to, removal of marine growth, temporary shoring of structures, removal and replacement of "x" bracing, pile extraction, deconstruction, and reconstruction of portions of finger piers, material costs, pile driving, and material disposal. The Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves will award this bid to the bidder who provides the requested goods or services at the best value for the Port, which will include an analysis of the following criteria: purchase price, reputation of the bidder and of the bidder's goods or services, the quality of the bidder's goods or services, the extent to whichthe goods or services meet the Port's needs, the bidder's past relationship with the Port,the impact on the ability of the Port to comply with laws and rules relating to historically underutilized businesses and non-profit organizations employing persons with disabilities, and the total long term cost to the Port to acquirethe bidder's goods or services. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids,in whole or in part, and to accept the bid orbids, in whole or in part, for any reason or tonegotiate with any and all bidders and waiveany informality in bids received. Bidder(s) may withdraw their bid, either personally or by written request, at any time priorto the scheduled time for the bid opening. TheGalveston Wharves may hold the bids for 60days after the date set for the opening withoutmaking a decision and the bidder(s) may notwithdraw their bid(s) within that time.
