Renovation of an educational facility in New Paltz, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from firms to provide Construction Phase Construction Manager (CM) Agency Services for the Renovate Elting Gymnasium project at the State University of New York at New Paltz. This Project is for the complete gut renovation of Elting Gymnasium, an 84,160 GSF building, constructed in 1964. The work includes renovation of the gymnasium, demolition and reconstruction of a larger natatorium to meet current NCAA standards, provide improved accessibility, new mechanical/electrical rooms, storage spaces, team rooms, faculty offices and an increased spectator viewing area. Additionally, the exterior envelope and roof replacement are included. Submissions should emphasize the firm's significant past experience in providing construction phase CM services for public institutions and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner. Construction duration from the Notice to Proceed of the first construction contract to Substantial Completion of the last construction contract is approximately thirty-nine (39) months; thirty-six (36) month construction duration plus three (3) months of guarantee period. The current estimated construction budget is approximately $56,971,000.
