Renovation of an educational facility in New Paltz, New York. Design plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As of June 12, 2024, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Renovate Elting Gymnasium project at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Elting Gymnasium is a two-story, 82,800 GSF building constructed in 1964 and houses a gymnasium, swimming pool and other indoor athletic facilities. The building has not undergone any major renovations since its construction. The project will modernize the facility and provide improved space for college athletics and recreation. The Project will provide a comprehensive renovation of the building including the replacement of all interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, as well as replacement of the roof and windows. The Project will also include the demolition and reconstruction of the natatorium wing, providing a larger, NCAA-regulation sized swimming pool and diving well for athletic competition. The Project will include the removal of hazardous materials and will meet current code and ADA. Once registered, consultants will receive an email with the applicable Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the link to upload your Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) at the submission deadline.
