Site work and paving for a road / highway in Castle Rock, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town's Transportation Master Plan has identified the need to widen Prairie Hawk Road between Wolfensberger and Plum Creek Parkway. The cross section for this portion of the alignment will be a four-lane roadway between Topeka and Plum Creek Pkwy. The design in 2023 and construction in 2024 would complete the section from Plum Creek Pkwy north to the new Millers Landing roundabout. The section between the Millers roundabout and Topeka would be done at a later date by the Millers Landing development. This extension project is included in the Master Plan as a project to be completed by 2030 in order to accommodate continued growth within the Town. This project objective is in line with one of the community's top priorities to address traffic congestion as identified in the previous Community Surveys. As of January 31, 2024, this project is in included in the Town of Castle Rock's FY 2024-2028 CIP and funding is allocated for construction in FY 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
