The City of Amarillo ("City") is located on the High Plains in the Panhandle of Texas at the intersection of Interstate 40 (IH-40) and Interstate 27 (IH-27). The City's corporate boundary comprises of approximately 100 square miles and maintains improved and unimproved roadways, operates municipal facilities, water, sewer distribution, waste water treatment, and solid waste utilities. The City operates and maintains local park facility systems and several smaller neighborhood parks. The City is responsible for operating and maintaining the drainage and storm water facilities in the area. Storm water facilities are primarily comprised of ditches, catch basins, and other simple drainage systems. The City is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced architectural, engineering and other professional service consulting firms ("Consultant"), whether one or more, to perform engineering services to provide detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates and bid documents for a variety of Capital Improvements projects in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") and any subsequent written agreement or contract between the City and the selected Consultant. The City intends to evaluate submitted proposals and produce a Pre-Qualified list of consultants exhibiting comprehensive experience. The City reserves the right to select as few or as many consultants as necessary in order to ensure completion of the scope of services and the right to conduct an independent selection process from this prequalification process for specific projects as identified by City staff. The projects are subject to funds being made available in the City's annual Operating or CIP Budget (Capital Improvement Project Budget) and are to be used to plan and design projects that will repair, replace, renovate and/or reconstruct public infrastructure or facilities. In addition, some of the funds will be available for construction related activities associated with the water and sanitary sewer system, facilities, public safety, transportation and recreational facilities. The City will process each RFQ request on this selection process by notifying all vendors on the pre- qualified list for the specific discipline being used. Once this initial letter of notification for each project is sent out, there will not be any additional information needed from vendors. Vendors will be updated of their status in the project as the status changes.
