From qualified, licensed, and insured contractors interested in entering into a contract to perform various accessibility improvements to the HASLC Main Office, the Romney Plaza Building, and the Philips Plaza Building. These construction-related accessibility improvements will be performed on office and residential buildings that provide service to various federally funded housing programs as described in the Scope of Services and subsequent sections below. Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) are strongly encouraged and incentivized to apply. This RFP is designed and intended to provide interested contracting firms with sufficient basic information to submit proposals that meet the stated minimum requirements. It is not, however, intended to limit any contractors proposal content or to exclude any relevant or essential data. Contractors are at liberty and are encouraged to expand upon the Scope of Service and the specifications of this RFP prior to submitting their proposal. The successful contractor must have a record of complying with and will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and requirements. Interested contractors are advised that, prior to the award of any contract, HASLC reserves the right to conduct a pre-award survey for the purpose of determining the contractor's responsibility and capacity to perform under the contract. This research may include a review of sub-contract agreements, financial capacity, and quality of work performed on previous contracts. HASLC reserves the right to reject proposals and to waive any informality or irregularity in the RFP process whenever it is in the best interest of HASLC to do so.
