Renovation of a municipal facility in Montreal, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The high pressure domestic water piping supplying the west tower of the Guy-Favreau Complex dates back to the construction of the building in 1983. There are active leaks in various parts of the piping that need to be repaired in the short term. Without being limited thereto, the main works for the replacement of piping at level S1, forming part of this contract, include: 1. Repairing two (2) elbows of 150mm dia of the existing high pressure domestic water piping in order to ensure a certain reliability of the network during the work period. 2. Remove asbestos from the walls and ceilings where the new piping will be installed according to Gesfor's estimate. 3. Install new stainless steel piping with grooved end fittings and connect to existing piping system. The new path presented in plan. The piping system will also include fittings, accessories, supports, valves and insulation. 4. Remove asbestos from the insulation and the area where the old high pressure water piping will be demolished. 5. Brush, repair and paint oxidized electrical conduit from leaking old water piping. The paint should be zinc-based.
