Renovation of a water / sewer project in Whistler, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is requesting quotations to complete upgrades to the foul airlines and hatches on the sludge storage building roof, along with miscellaneous piping removals. This work is in preparation for re-roofing work anticipated to start in early May 2023. The scope of work shall include the following: 1. Submittal of a work plan, shop drawings/sketches for review, and schedule. 2. Removal of existing roof topping slab and roof insulation around the four existing hatches and HDPE foul airlines. 3. Remove old hatches and a portion of the 450mm steel pipe. 4. Fabricate and install new steel hatch extension pipe. 5. Fabricate and install new hatch lids. 6. Remove a section of the HDPE foul airlines (black piping in pictures) and re-install the HDPE foul airlines. 7. Remove four existing abandoned pipes and cap off pipe ends. 8. Remove at four locations 4 pipes that extend from the mixing pipe (white piping in pictures) to the roof hatches. Install a pipe plug where the removed pipe connects to the mixing pipe.
