City Hall Improvements and Police Department Renovation The City of Prairie Village has issued a separate contract to a licensed architect to perform all design services for this project. The City of Prairie Village is seeking CMR services for the construction of a new City Hall. The City Hall will be relocated to the south edge of the City property. The project also includes demolition of the existing City Hall and construction of a new Court office/Court room adjacent to the Police Department. The remaining MPR structure and the basement of the PD will have renovations. New City Hall facility to be approximately18,000 gsf. The new structure will house: public interaction lobby, offices, conference space, work space, Council Chambers and art gallery. New Court facilities to be approximately 6,000 gsf. The new structure will house: public interaction lobby, offices, and Court Room. This area will be constructed after City Hall has relocated to new facilities. Police Department renovations include renovation of existing MPR wing to create offices and new evidence area, renovation of basement of existing MPR wing to remove unused facilities, and basement of Police Department to facilitate efficient use of space and accommodate growth.
