Roanoke County, on behalf of Roanoke County Public Schools, is requesting sealed bids from qualified vendors to provide 82 water source heat pump units. All questions must be submitted in writing before 5:00 p.m., January 24, 2023 Questions or concerns may be addressed by contacting Kate Hoyt by phone at 540-283- 8149, or by email at KHoyt@roanokecountyva.gov. Except in cases of emergency, all bids for construction contracts shall be accompanied by a bid bond from a surety company selected by the bidder, which is legally authorized to do business in Virginia. (1) A bid, payment or performance bond for contracts for goods or services other than construction may be required if provided in the Invitation for Bid. (2) The amount of the bid bond shall not exceed five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. (3) In lieu of a bid bond, a bidder may furnish a certified check or cash escrow in the face amount required for the bond. (4) Upon award of any public construction contract exceeding $100,000 awarded to any prime contractor, such contractor shall furnish: i. Performance bond in the sum of the contract amount. ii. Payment bond in the sum of the contract amount. The County reserves the right to cancel this IFB or reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities in any Bid and to purchase any whole or part of the items and/ or services listed in the IFB.
