As of April 28, 2023, project was awarded to Dynamic Sandblasting & Painting, LLC, awarded amount is $789,849.78. The Town is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate the Masonic and Westside Storage Tanks- The work, as proposed by the Wallingford Water Division and covered under this Specification, shall consist of the rehabilitation of the Masonic Welded Tank including but not limited to blasting and painting of the interior, exterior and tank foundation, modification to existing tank vent, installation of new tank side wall hatch, modification to existing overflow pipe, installation of new interior and exterior ladders and all other modifications shown in the contract documents. In addition, the rehabilitation of the Westside Tank roof including but not limited to power tool cleaning and painting of roof, removal of existing antenna mounting brackets, and all other modifications shown in the contract documents. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/14/2023 5:00 PM Bids received after the time set for the bid opening will be considered informal and will be returned unopened. A bid bond, certified check or cashier's check, for 10% of the base bid amount, must accompany each proposal. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance and Materials Payment Bond written by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to award any part or parts, or total proposal, and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All proposals must be submitted in sealed opaque envelopes and should be clearly labeled with the bidder's name, address, bid number, and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. No responsibility will be attached to any Town representative or employee for the premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified.
