The order of magnitude is approximately $2,000,000 - $3,300,000, depending on which, if any, Additive Items are awarded. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. This Base Bid for this project includes clearing and grading currently undeveloped land adjacent to the City existing sludge drying facility, construction of two new asphalt pavement sludge drying beds, construction of new concrete dividing walls, installation of new catch basins and drain piping, construction of a new evaporation pond with membrane liner and sampling facilities, solar powered lighting, and new fencing. Additive Item Al includes removal and wastehaul of the existing evaporation pond liner, and installation of new bedding, liner materials, and sampling components. Additive Item A2 includes construction of two additional asphalt pavement sludge drying beds, construction of new concrete dividing walls, and installation of new catch basins and drain piping, Additive Item A3 includes construction of a new' ecology block decant solids storage bin. Additive Item A4 includes furnishing and installing one new vault toilet facility. Time for Completion of the Work is limited to 120 working days for the Base Bid. Each Additive item selected for execution will include an additional 15 working days. The total number of working days for the Base Bid and all Additive Items is 165 working days. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or Surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent ofthe amount ofthe Bid Proposal. Checks shall be made payable to The City ofWenatchee. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such Contract, and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the Bid Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Wenatchee.
