Renovation of a military facility in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Value Range: $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 Construction Period: 135 Calendar Days This project will reconfigure interior walls within the JBLE (Eustis) Express to allow for the effective use of existing space. Interior finishes will be upgraded to current AAFES standards. Lighting, mechanical, fire suppression and electrical systems will be modified to align with the new layout. Please pay particular attention to sections 3.A.61.d and 3.C in the Agreement Document which cover minority and female participation goals established for federally involved and non-federally involved construction work. Any questions you may have after comparing the plans and specifications to the existing site conditions should be submitted in writing to GRACE PEREZ-MARTINEZ at martinezg@aafes.com no later than COB on 8 February 2023. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work to be performed is located at Building 1384, Fort Eustis. Principal Features: 1. The work to be performed in connection with this project includes, but is not limited a Repositioning of the merchandise and new finishes as required. 2. Improvements will include the following: a. Install new carpet flooring with new 24"x24" carpet tiles as required b. Install new VCT flooring as required, additional tile was identified at the35% design review conference. The new VCT will match the existing. c. Add new Mc Cue rail at Brand Wall adjacent to Customer Service area d. Add trellis at Customer Service e. Add trellis at BeFit f. Add trellis' at Power Zone g. Relocate powered fixtures h. Relocate gun sales counter i. Install new 12'x16' gun vault with associated power, lighting, fire protection, and duress notifications system. j. Install new gun work room adjacent to the new gun vault with cage material. k. Add 3'-6"x 7'-0" hollow metal door opening with narrow lite vision panel with a cipher lockset into gun vault work room from gun counter. l. Repaint visible portion of wall at Power Zone m. Repaint visible portion of wall at Sporting Goods n. Replace pair of 3'-0"x7'-0" doors into MPA reusing the existing hardware o. Relocating power and data connection from existing purse storage area to new purse storage area. p. New cash registers will be included in this project and will be fed with black power and data poles from overhead. q. Focal walls will be included in this project, 5 locations at ladies wear consisting of raising the existing light fixture and Vira-wall display, new focal wall in the shoes that will require new 120V power exact requirements to be determined, new focal wall in the men's department (near men's accessories) that will require new 120V power exact requirements to be determined, new focal wall for Levi's that will require new 120V power exact requirements to be determined, new focal wall for Dickies that will require new 120V power exact requirements to be determined, and a new focal wall in the men's department that will require new 120V power exact requirements to be determined. r. Construction completed in 12 phases between July 1 and October 31 (approximately)
