Scope of work to include removal of dam/bridge, re-grading stream banks and channel. The County of Northampton is soliciting bids for the services of a construction contractor in the completion of a series of dams and dilapidated bridge removals and stream restoration project along the Monocacy Creek at Archibald Johnston Conservation Area. The project will address streambank erosion issues Monocacy Creek through the removal of seven dams and dilapidated crossings obstructing stream flow, partial removal of a rock wall impounding a small spring, grading and stream bank stabilization, and installation of a grade control structure to address safety concerns and restore natural stream function to the Monocacy Creek. Included with the all bid submittals over $100K you must provide the Contactor/Sub-Contractor Responsibility Certification Check Sheet and also proof of participation in a Class "A" Apprenticeship Program. Must show proof for 3 years of participation. Also a list of all trades or classifications of craft employees you will employ on the project and documentation verifying you participate in a Class A apprenticeship Program for each trade or classification listed. Sub-Contractors must be identified and must also provide all requirements of the Responsible Contractors Certifications. Structure D: Rock enclosure around wetland: Scope of work will involve partially removal of small rock wall impounding spring. Break up rock masonry, grade and stabilize. Structure F: Small concrete dam at entrance of side channel: Scope of work will involve removing the dam and regrading banks and channel Structure H: Eroded concrete bridge: Scope of work will include removal of the concrete bridge and eroded concrete, regrade stream banks and channel.
