As of October 3, 2024, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. Previous solicitation listed below for reference: The Town of Summerfield desires to engage pre-qualified engineering firms ("PEF") to provide late-stage planning and engineering services for its planned Atlantic and Yadkin (A&Y) Greenway. This 3.62-mile project runs from the US-220 pedestrian tunnel to Medearis Street and its NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) project number is TIP #EB-5900. The initial design and engineering firm (Stewart) developed this project to approximately the 75% design stage and the pre-construction environmental document is currently being reviewed by NCDOT. Stewart was not able to complete the remaining planning and engineering and the town is seeking a PEF to complete the remaining work. Right-of-way work is needed in 2023 in order for construction to start in 2024. The town is working closely with both NCDOT and Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (GUAMPO) to bring this important area project to fruition. REQUIREMENTS FOLLOWING AWARD OF SERVICE CONTRACT: 1. Vendor must have a current $1,000,000 general liability insurance policy naming the Town of Summerfield as an additional insured party. 2. If applicable, awarded vendor will provide a current Workman's Compensation insurance policy, naming the Town of Summerfield as an additional insured party. 3. Vendor must provide the following: Certificate of Insurance and W-9. If you do not have worker's compensation insurance, you must complete an Independent Contractor Agreement and Independent Contractor vs. Employee Checklist. 4.
