Said bond or check in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be given as security that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance guarantee properly secured. The Contactor(s) awarded the bid must submit a Performance and Material Bond at the time of signing the contract 6.The City reserves the right to award the bid to the Contractor who the City determines submitted the best bid to the City, to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive any informality or technical defects if, in its judgment, the best interests of the City will be served.
