The City of West Jordan (City) requests proposals from qualified and experienced professional material testing firms (Consultants) that can provide material testing services for City of West Jordan pavement jobs on an as-needed basis. Only awarded firms on the current West Jordan City Statement of Qualifications Vendor Pool (Contract Inspection Services) are allowed to submit an RFP on this project. The Consultant shall provide material testing services for City of West Jordan pavement management jobs on an as needed basis. The anticipated schedule for testing services will start in May 2023 and is tentatively scheduled for completion by October 2023. The City reserves the right to add additional testing not identified below if such testing is determined to be in the best interest of the City. All material testing methods shall be in accordance with current APWA, local, and national standards. Quantity of testing may deviate from APWA quantities at the discretion of the City. The Consultant shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and statutes. Materials testing is anticipated to include concrete testing per APWA 03 30 05, concrete mix design per APWA 03 30 04, aggregate base course per APWA 32 11 23, asphalt mix design per APWA 32 12 05 (excluding Amendment 2 of APWA 2017), asphalt density testing per APWA 32 12 16.13 (excluding Amendment 2 of APWA 2017). Additional materials testing not specified herein but related to the City of West Jordan 2023 Paving Projects may be necessary.
