Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 5,500-square-foot medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a 4,000-square-foot medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
As of June 27, 2024, this project is no longer moving forward Invitation for Bid (IFB) 36C77623B0030 for the Expand Pharmacy and Radiology (Minor) Construction project at the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center is hereby cancelled in its entirety. This cancellation is a direct result of budget funding constraints. All bids received exceeded the statutory minor limit and no award could be made. VHA Procurement Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) will not be the Contracting Office concerning any reprocurement of this project. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 12 will determine the procurement strategy for any re-procurement. All future inquiries concerning the re-procurement of this project shall be directed to their office. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is soliciting bids for the purposes of awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Expand Pharmacy & Radiology construction project located at 325 East H Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Iron Mountain VAMC is seeking a general contractor to furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision for the Expand Pharmacy & Radiology construction project at the Iron Mountain VAMC. This project shall include, but not be limited to general construction, demolition and removal of existing structures for the Expand Pharmacy & Radiology construction project consistent with provided Drawings and Specification. The project includes an addition to the main hospital (Building 1) to provide additional space for a permanent MRI, expansion of Pharmacy and Police, and other space for support functions. The addition will provide approximately 9,500 GSF of new space, and 4,000 GSF of renovated space on the basement and first floors. Work further includes architectural, structural, fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and earthwork. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
