Strategically located at the western end of the central business district, this park is heavily used by residents and visitors. Park amenities include a tourism information building, a playground/playscape that was installed in 2002; a skate park installed a few years later, public restrooms and a seasonal, portable ice rink. As the popularity of the park increases, it has become clear that an overall plan for its redevelopment is needed. This would include an evaluation of existing conditions, a topographic survey and identification of drainage patterns and a layout of the park and proposed updated amenities. A single consultant or team of consultants with a subcontracting relationship would be acceptable.
