All Contract Documents must be obtained by the Bidder from ADS to be an Eligible Bidder. The Contractor shall have as a goal, subcontracting with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) of ten percent (10%), with Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVE) of three percent (3%); and with Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE), and/or Veteran Owned Business of ten percent (10%) of awarded contract price for work to be performed. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in bids and to reject any and all bids. Construction Estimate: $5,900,000.00 Base Bid The scope of work to be performed for this project includes: o Localized demolition of existing drives, pavement, landscape, and site features to prepare for construction of site work. o Earthwork necessary to bring the project area to rough grade for the future site improvements, including but not limited to procuring, placing, and compacting specified soil. o Raising or lowering of existing utility manholes, lids, valves, and similar utility structures to proposed finish grades. o Installation of new drainage utilities related to site work. Soil placement and site work installation atop subsurface parking garage. o Erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention for all disturbed areas within the project area. Scope of work also includes protection of existing trees to remain and protect from damage during construction activities. o Finish grading, site walls, hardscape pavements (vehicular and pedestrian), landscape irrigation, soil preparation, planting. o Site lighting and associated electric work. General Description of Work: The Arrival Court Phase Two Site Work project consists of all site improvements to finalize the spaces between buildings and the overall transformed Arrival District of Missouri S&T's campus. The improvements consist of a vehicular forecourt, pedestrian entry plaza, large formal oval for campus events, events plaza nestled between the new Student Experience Center and new Welcome Center, and additional landscape, lighting, and pedestrian and vehicular connections. (1) Project consists of construction of vehicular roads, pedestrian paths, stairs, site walls, site lighting, site electrical, and landscape (soils, planting, irrigation) as indicated on plans and specifications. (2) Demolition shall consist of removal and proper disposal and/or salvaging of existing pavement, curbs, vegetation, trees, signage, lighting, irrigation, and other physical built improvements in the project areas as noted on project bid documents. (3) Earthwork and Grading work shall consist of installing and maintaining erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention measures, procuring/hauling/placing/compacting of suitable soils to grades indicated on plans and specifications. (4) Utility work shall consist of raising or lowering of utility structures, including but not limited to manholes, lids, valves, handholes, or other underground or at grade utility enclosures as noted on project bid documents. Utility work also includes installation of decorative utility covers, drainage pipe and drain covers per drawings and specifications. (5) Structural work shall consist of concrete footings for light poles and structurally designed concrete slabs. (6) Electrical work shall consist of site electrical, site lighting, irrigation electrical, and heat tape./snow melt. (7) Landscape work shall consist of soil preparation, procurement and installation of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and groundcovers, installation of turf grass sod, turf seed, reinforced turf, and subsurface irrigation systems. (8) Hardscape/Flat Work shall consist of concrete paving, decorative concrete paving, unit paving, asphalt paving, and crushed stone paving. (9) Metal work shall consist of handrails, guard rails, and fencing. . LOCATION Work shall be performed under this Contract on campus of Missouri University of Science and Technology, in four locations east of 63 highway and within 8 acres of the campus titled as the ARRIVAL COURT-PHASE TWO SITE WORK.
