Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Reno, Nevada. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of April 24, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Said Proposal shall include all labor, tools, implements, machinery, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the work in the manner and time prescribed, and in strict conformity with the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. In general, the major work items include: Rapid set slurry seal and mill and overlay operations on City of Reno streets and parking lots, pavement patching, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalk, and pedestrian ramps, placing pavement markings, traffic control, and public relations activities, and other miscellaneous work as outlined in the plans and specifications. The Bidders attention is directed to Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165, enacted by the Nevada Legislature by passage of Senate Bill No. 207, setting forth the requirements for the use of apprentices on public works which requires a contractor or subcontractor to comply with certain requirements relating to the use of apprentices on public works.
