Site work for a communication facility in Fincastle, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility.
Botetourt County is soliciting proposals from qualified offerors to establish a new public safety radio system, that would replace an existing analog UHF system that has some components over 25 years old. The purpose of the project is to update the public safety communications with a modern radio system, inclusive of all the necessary components from tower site development, a microwave network and infrastructure to support a P25 radio system, and all the necessary hard and software, including radio console equipment, vehicle and portable radios and specified accessories. Additionally, the County is requesting a fire station alerting component to the overall compliment of systems for notification of emergencies.
