Contractor shall install four 48,000 BTU variable refrigerant flow a/c systems, one for each classroom area. b. Air conditioning equipment shall be mounted same as existing units at building D. c. The contractor is responsible for all necessary materials, piping, hardware, refrigerant and etc. for a complete installation. d. New condensate lines for the fan coil units shall be minimum 3/4 " PVC lines connected to the closest downspout. b. Outdoor air-cooled condensing units (4ea) shall be Mitsubishi PUMY-P48 or an approved equal. Condensing units shall have factory applied corrosion protective coating. c. Ductless wall mounted fan coil units (8ea) shall be Mitsubishi PKFY P-24 or an approved equal. d. All substitution requests are due by 4:30pm on the question end date and must be accompanied by a side-by-side comparison showing that the requested substitution is equal to or better that the specified equipment. 2. Electrical a. All circuit breakers, main wiring and service disconnects will be preinstalled similar to previously completed building D Pod. b. Preinstalled circuit breakers and wiring will be sized to support the specified A/C units. If the contractor chooses to substitute other equipment, he shall be responsible for verifying that the breaker sizes and wiring sizes are sufficient for the units being substituted. Any additional materials and labor shall be the contractor's responsibility. 3. Security Enclosures a. Protective enclosures shall be constructed around new condensing units. b. Enclosures shall be similar to the existing enclosures at building D. 4. Painting a. All damages caused by the contractor's work shall be repaired and painted to match existing areas. b. All new work including electrical conduits shall be painted to match surrounding areas. c. New security enclosures shall be painted same as existing enclosures. Prospective bidders may inspect the existing work (previously installed A/C units) and area of new work during the mandatory prebid meeting. All A/C work shall be completed per manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and shall be performed to industry standards. Contractor must follow all current local city & county codes, national electrical codes and the current international building codes. Along with the Manufacturer's standard material/equipment warranties, the contractor shall provide a one-year written warranty for defects in materials and workmanship on this job. As part of the final close-out documents, the contract shall provide a spread sheet with the model numbers, serial numbers and location for each condenser unit and fan coil unit.
