The City of Lawrence, the Awarding Authority, seeks sealed bids from qualified contractors for: FRANCIS M.LEAHY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUILDING DEMOLITION AND EARLY SITE PREPARATION, located at 100 Erving Avenue, Lawrence, MA. Work includes the demolition and complete removal of existing building including, but not limited to, interior fixtures and equipment, interior walls, insulation, doors, ceilings, floor finishes, fixtures, equipment, hazmat, early site preparation, and other related work. Work to begin on or about March 8, 2023 and be complete on or before May 30, 2023. A copy is available for viewing only at the Lawrence Public Schools, Procurement Department, 237 Essex Street, Lawrence, MA 01840. Addenda, if issued, will be posted to the Projectdog website and shall be accompanied by e-mail notification to every individual or firm on record as having received the Bid Documents. Hard copies of addenda will not be mailed or faxed. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor to ascertain the existence of any and all addenda. General / Prime Bidders must be DCAMM certified in the category of: Demolition. Filed Subtrades: None. All bids for the project are subject to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 44AM inclusive, as amended. Prevailing Wage Rate requirements shall be as set forth under M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26-27H inclusive. The MBE/ WBE participation goal is a combined goal of 13.2%. A DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility, Update Statement, and a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid price must accompany each bid. The City of Lawrence reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to accept that which is deemed in their best interest. The City of Lawrence shall not be responsible for bids arriving late for any reason.
