Exterior Masonry Wall Restoration Project Bid Bond Requirements: 5% of Bid, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Performance Bond Requirement: 100% of the full amount of the Combined Contract Sums Labor & Material Bond: 100% of the full amount of the Combined Contract Sums Building Permits: No Fee Required Additional Requirements: Prevailing Wage Rate Job & Contractor to submit Certified Payroll, Contractor must complete all Bid Documents and Bidder Requirements as required by Village of Lake Bluff in conjunction with this project, post all necessary Bid and Labor & Payment Bonds and complete all written documentation as required by the Village of Lake Bluff Ladder Access: Roof Sections and Apparatus Stair Tower & Hose Tower are only accessible by ladder (20 ft.). The Contractor shall be responsible for providing their own ladder to access, measure and evaluate these roof sections either during the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting or on the subsequent follow-up date (to be established) Scope-of-Work As detailed in specifications and bid documents, the Contractor shall be required to demolish designated wall areas, clean and coat exposed steel lintels / shelf angles, install new in-wall flashings, metal drip edge and reconstruct the masonry wall(s). Mechanically grind and repoint brick masonry wall areas, reconstructed exterior wythe of brick masonry in designated areas, cut and install new vertical masonry expansion joints, remove and replace all caulking sealant in all areas, grind and repoint split-face block areas and clean all wall surfaces. Alternative 1 - application of 100% solids silane / siloxane waterproofing to all brick masonry wall and block wall surfaces. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the Bid which best serves the interests of the Village. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting a Bid, the Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination.
