Proposals for a Building Window Renovation Contractor will be received by the Lake Bluff Park District. Said proposals will be evaluated and results will be made public after the Board approves/rejects a proposal. The Park District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any proposal or in the proposal process. The approved Contractor shall be responsible for all Village of Lake Bluff Permitting and Licensure to complete the project. Additionally, the Contractor will be responsible for scheduling all required inspections during the project. Schedule preconstruction meetings with key stakeholders including the Executive Director, Superintendent of Park and Facility Maintenance, and the Facility Services Manager. Include a reasonable project timeline based on manpower and materials, considering lead times, product selection, and all work to be completed by the end of the project timeline. All work must be completed before the end of 2023. Provide proposal including scope of work, pricing for labor and materials required to remove three (3) sliding glass doors, including transoms, and replace with framing, insulation, exterior protection, insulation, exterior brick to match existing façade/elevation. Installation of 4 foot by 4 foot insulated windows or similar size and functionality. Alternate pricing to include repairs to existing interior drywall, post installation. Painting of completed interior repairs to be provided by District maintenance personnel. Contractor to provide appropriate removal and disposal of all demolished materials and construction waste. Contractor to provide appropriate reasonable protections to the job site (construction fence, as needed), including protection of existing plant material.
