Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Norwich, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Norwich is looking for proposals from certified play equipment vendors and installers for play equipment to be installed at McKeon Park located at 2 Taftville Occum Road, Norwich, CT. The proposal shall not exceed the available budget of $29,493. Proposals above this budget will be disqualified. The City will be responsible to prepare the site and to mulch once the Contractor has completed the work. The Contractor shall furnish and install the play equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications. The City of Norwich reserves the right to reject and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive minor irregularities in the bidding and to award the bid to other than the low bidder if deemed in the best interest of the City. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days of the bid opening date. Should there be reason why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified time, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the designated, qualified low bidder. All final awards of the bid shall be in compliance with the City of Norwich Code of Ordinances 7-46 - Delinquent Tax Setoff Against Money Due Bidder or Contractor. Please note that this project will use CDBG fund therefore the Contractor will be required to pay prevailing wage rates to installers.
