Site work for a water / sewer project in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids shall be marked on the outside with the project name and the time and date of opening and shall be addressed to: Shelbyville Municipal Water and Sewer Commission 1059 Washington Street Shelbyville, KY 40065 The work to be bid is generally described as follows: 2,750 L.F. - 12" PVC Water Main with accessories 320 L.F. - 20" Steel Casing by Bore and Jack 4,200 L.F. - 18" Dia. gravity sewer with accessories 3,250 L.F. - 15" Dia. gravity sewer with accessories 310 L.F. - 36" Steel Casing by Bore and Jack 26 - 4' Dia. Manholes Only pre-qualified bidders with experience in extra depth (>25') gravity sanitary sewer installation are allowed to participate in this project. Please contact Engineer prior to bid date for instructions on becoming pre-qualified. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not pre-qualified in extra depth (>25') gravity sanitary sewer installation will not be accepted. All pre-qualification documentation must be submitted to Engineer 7 days prior to Bid Date. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Shelbyville Municipal Water and Sewer Commission in an amount of not less than 10 percent of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the day bids are opened. A bidder may, however, withdraw his bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. Time allowed for the completion of the project is 270 consecutive calendar days.
