The work to be bid is generally described as follows: 4,500 L.F. - 16" C-900 DR 18 Water Main with accessories 70 L.F. - 24" Dia. Steel Casing by Bore and Jack Only pre-qualified bidders are allowed to participate in this project. Please contact Engineer prior to bid date for instructions on becoming pre-qualified. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not pre-qualified will not be accepted. All pre-qualification documentation shall be submitted to Engineer seven days prior to bid opening. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Shelbyville Municipal Water and Sewer Commission in an amount of not less than 10 percent of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the day bids are opened. A bidder may, however, withdraw his bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. Time allowed for the completion of the project is 120 consecutive calendar days.
