The CITY OF GLOBE, hereinafter referred to as the City, through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Contract #133-22) from the State of Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH), will accept bids from qualified firms or individuals with an A (A-4, A-5, A-7, A-12, A-14, A-15, A-16, A-17) engineering contracting commercial license as registered with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors to perform the following services: pavement removals, site grading and embankment, sidewalk construction, specialty pavement finishes, utility fixture adjustments, and other miscellaneous construction items, all part of the VETERANS PARK GRADING, DRAINAGE & SIDEWALK PROJECT. Project Description This federally funded project consists of construction of park improvements as follows: 1. Remove sidewalk 2. Remove drainage grate inlet & abandon outlet pipe 3. Remove handrail at building entrance ramp 4. Remove picnic table concrete slab 5. Remove, store & reset picnic table 6. Remove, store & reset trash receptacles 7. Remove, store & reset plant pots 8. Adjust water valve & electric boxes to finished grade 9. Construct embankment 10. Construct sidewalk, standard surface 11. Construct sidewalk, exposed aggregate surface 12. Extend roof drain outlets 13. Seeding 14. Furnish and install hip roof ramada structure, 15' x 15', with footings 15. Furnish and install tables with seats, 46" square, slatted surfaces 16. Furnish and install benches with backs, 6' length, recycled plastic slats 17. Site barricades & fencing 18. Mobilization 19. Any and all other associated contingent and miscellaneous items of work to complete the proposed park improvements. Objective/Scope of Work The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, services, transportation, and perform all work for the City's project known as the VETERANS PARK GRADING, DRAINAGE & SIDEWALK PROJECT for the CITY OF GLOBE, Arizona, as called for in the Technical Specifications and on the Plans (Construction Drawings). The proposer should prepare a detailed time schedule for completion. The successful proposer will be required to lend all needed assistance in the preparation, investigation, and documentation necessary for compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, Davis-Bacon, and other requirements of ADOH. The successful proposer should be prepared to comply with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements. The project shall be accomplished in accordance with all federal program and state statutory requirements to include 2 CFR 200, Executive Orders and the Arizona Administrative Code. To be considered, one (1) original and two (2) copies of the bid proposal must be provided and completed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in the bid package. Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each proposal. Bonding companies issuing acceptable bonds in conjunction with this project must hold a certification of authority to transact surety business in Arizona as issued by the Director of the Department of Insurance. All bid security shall be made payable, without condition, to the CITY OF GLOBE. Said bid security shall be considered liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the CITY OF GLOBE in the event the proposal is accepted, and the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) working days after the notice of bid award. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. The CITY OF GLOBE also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of opening.
