For 2023 Basin Streets Chip Seal Project The work under the Bid Schedule for the project includes chip sealing the surface of the following streets: Holdrege Avenue from 250 feet east of 3rd Street west to 9th Street and East "E" Street from the river bridge west to 4th Street Bids shall be submitted on proposal forms provided in accordance with the contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the amount of the Proposal payable to the OWNER as a guaranty that if the Proposal is accepted, the Bidder shall execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds within thirty (30) days after the award of the Contract. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any informality, minor irregularity or technicality in any Proposal in the interest of the OWNER. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of thirty (30) days after the date fixed for the opening of bids. Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106, "preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state". The funds which have been programmed for the construction of this project are estimated to be sufficient to provide for the proposed work as shown on the plans. In the event contract unit prices indicate a total cost of the project in excess of the funds programmed, the OWNER reserves the right to negotiate with the low bidder to keep the cost of work within the funds allotted to the project. All work shall be in accordance with the Wyoming Public Works Standard Specifications, 2015 Edition, unless otherwise noted. Notice to proceed for this project, should it be awarded, will be issued as soon as all paperwork is completed, and construction must be completed by Friday, June 30, 2023
