Site work and paving for a civil project in Americus, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Storm drain system improvements, including traffic control, erosion control measures, and construction of +- 8 storm drain manholes, 3 catch basins, ditch regrading and grassing, +- 855 LF of 59"x36" RCP storm drain pipe, +- 813 LF of 42" RCP storm drain pipe, +- 206 LF of 24" RCP storm drain pipe, +- 202 LF of 24" RCP storm drain pipe, +- 2,244 LF of 8" PVC sanitary sewer main, +- 40 sanitary sewer services, 1 submersible 200 GPC pump station, +-737 Tons of 9.5 mm Superpave, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City of Americus prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to the City of Americus, Georgia, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. The Policy requires that contracting opportunities should be posted or advertised in a minimum of three locations. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Americus reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
