Location and Description. The Project is located on Golden Springs Drive from Kavanagh Avenue to Camellia Drive and at the intersection of Kavanagh Avenue and Atlanta Drive. Work includes: Removal and installation of nine 8-inch gate valves and one 6-inch gate valve; asphalt and aggregate base removal and replacement; water line shutdown and drainage. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for work is between April 2023 and September 2023. Contract time to be Thirty (30) calendar days. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class C-34, Pipeline Contractor. DIR Registration. Contractor must submit proof of DIR Registration with Bid Proposal. Contract Documents. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements, available at City Engineer's office Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the maximum Contract Price, and a warranty bond for 10% of the maximum Contract Price. Substitution of Securities. Substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments is permitted under Public Contract Code section 22300. Subcontractor List. A completed Subcontractor List form must be submitted with the Bid Proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No Pre-bid meeting will be held.
