Avondale Borough is soliciting sealed bids for its municipal refuse collection and recycling for a term of three (3) years, beginning April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2026. Each sealed bid must be accompanied by a cashier check, bank check or proposal bond in the amount of $5,000.00, drawn to the order of the Avondale Borough, as security that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will provide the requisite insurance and performance bond and execute the contract, all as anticipated by the bid documents. Recommendations for the award of bids will be made at Avondale Borough Council regular meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, which meeting will commence at 7:00 P.M., prevailing time, at the Avondale Borough Hall. Avondale borough council specifically reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities not involving price, performance ability or bond terms. If any person who wishes to attend the february 28, 2023 bid opening or march 7, 2023 public meeting requires auxiliary aid, service, or other accommodation to observe or participate in the meeting, the borough secretary should be contacted at (610) 268-8501 to discuss how those needs may be best accommodated
