As of September 12, 2023, per owner, the project was cancelled. Background: Bartow County School System (BCSS) has 20 schools. 12 Elementary, 4 Middle, 3 High and one College and Career Academy. Of these schools 10 have no emergency generator back up for power outages. BCSS wishes to install emergency generators at these 10 facilities of sufficient power to run essential kitchen freezer and cooler units along with MDF locations for technology and possibly emergency lighting. The extent of the coverage by the generators will be determined during the design process. The College and Career Academy is in need of a new generator to replace and existing generator. Any other replacements of existing generators will be determined during the design process. Design Firm will be responsible for preliminary conceptual design and programming along with all design documents. Design Firm will be responsible for submitting and obtaining permit approval for the work as well as bidding and construction management/close out. Upon completion of the construction the Design Firm will supply BCSS with as built construction documents for the generator installations. These will be both in hard copy format, 2 full size and 1 half size sets per site, along with one electronic set of PDF documents and CAD drawings per site. Attached to this RFP will be our sample contract for proposing firms. Specific deliverables include but are not limited to: 1. Cost estimate per site 2. Design/Construction milestone schedule 3.
