Demolition, site work and paving for a civil project in Clayton, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of April 18, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The work to be done generally consists of the replacement of two existing bridges with single span concrete PC/PS wide-flange girder bridges and reconstruction and realignment of the approach roads to each bridge, located along Marsh Creek Road, approximately 4 miles apart, in Contra Costa County southeast of Clayton, site 1, and in Contra Costa County southwest of Brentwood, site 2. The reinforced concrete bridges abutments are supported with CIDH concrete piles. Work includes clearing and grubbing activities, tree removal, grading, bridge removal and single stage bridge construction, roadway construction in stages, construction of drainage facilities, storm drainage pipes and outfalls, the relocation of above ground and underground utilities, and pavement delineation. This is a federal aid contract. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) contract goal is 22%. You must meet this DBE goal and/or provide adequate Good Faith Effort documentation as outlined in these special provisions. To comply with the County DBE Program Good Faith Effort, the bidder must take certain actions a minimum of fifteen (15) days prior to bid opening. Number of Working Days: 370 All bidder questions/inquiries received before 12:00 p.m. the Thursday prior to the scheduled bid opening will be posted with their responses through electronically.
