Renovation of a residential development in Heuvelton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Bids for the furnishing of all labor, supervision, insurance, and material(s) necessary for the 17 Rensselaer Street, Heuvelton NY 13684 Contract No. 1 - General Rehabilitation project will be received by the Development Authority of the North Country. The size of the electronic submittal shall not exceed 3 MB. If the files exceeds 3 MB other delivery arrangements should be made. Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No. 1 - General Rehabilitation - Base Bid 17 Rensselaer Street - Base Bid - Furnish and Install various rehabilitation materials and labor to include : New Electric Service from pole, new 200 amp electrical service panel & service, update all wiring throughout home to meet current code, Eighteen (18) new vinyl replacement windows ( Asbestos Containing Material ( ACM) & Lead Based Paint Items) Two ( 2) new Exterior Doors & Two ( 2) Storm Doors, New Front Entrance Stairs, Repair and Repoint Foundation around left side basement window area, flooring in living, dining and upstairs front bedroom, gutter system on right side of home over side entrance Additionally, the Base Bid will also require new smoke & carbon monoxide detectors per Code as well as lead hazard remediation work items detailed in the Lead Risk Assessment, LBP Inspection Report & Asbestos Containing Materials as detailed in the ACM Report and Scope of Work. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to lead certifications. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Bid Solicitations and Contract Documents are provided by the Development Authority of the North Country as part of the Authority's due diligence in its role as the NYS CDBG Sub Recipient for St. Lawrence County . St, Lawrence County is the recipient of the New York State CDBG Grant funding. The Development Authority staff, will review all bids submitted for completeness. The Development Authority will make recommendation to the homeowner on the lowest responsible bidder. The Rehabilitation Contract will be between the Homeowner and the Contractor. MWBEs and Section 3 contractors are encouraged to apply. The contractor will ensure that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this NYS CDBG-assisted project will be extended to lower-income project area residents. Further, the contractor will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area, in the award of contracts and purchase of services and supplies. The Contractor shall be responsible to obtain for himself, at his cost, any and all information required for the preparation of his proposal. Please Note that due to the Corona Virus - All Participants Planning to attend the Pre Bid Meetings must be Covid Free, not have any Covid Symptoms nor have come into contact with anyone that has had Covid for 14 days prior to the meeting day and time. In addition, any participants at the meeting must be wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart for social distancing.
