Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 270,000-square-foot, six-story above grade, 320-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
M. Sullivan & Son Limited is the Construction Manager/General Contractor and has issued this Request for Sub-Contractor Prequalification (21650-002 Formwork) Formwork/Concrete Finishing Contractors associated with the Providence Manor Long Term Care Facility. This request is to obtain submissions to prequalify formwork/concrete finishing contractors acting as sub-contractors to the Construction Manager (M. Sullivan & Son Limited). Since 2016, the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul have been working to develop a 30-acre campus of care and social services called Providence Village. Guided by their vision and guiding principles for the property, the Sisters developed a master plan for the Village. To protect the future of the property and their vision for it, the Sisters turned the property over to the Catholic Congregational Legacy Charity and created Providence Village Inc. to guide and manage the implementation and on-going operation of the Village. The master plan includes a 320-bed Long Term Care Home (including a YMCA daycare) with related site services (including disentanglement of existing services and the provision of new services) to be built by Providence Care. The gross floor area for the building is approximately 270,000 sq.ft. Please note, the Construction Manager (Sullivan) is signatory to the carpenter and labourer unions. Any questions regarding the content of the RFQ Document shall be forwarded in writing to Geoff McDonald at gmcdonald@sullivan.ca referencing RFQ (21650-002 Formwork). *Total cost reflects an estimated value of the entire project.
